February 23, 2010

RELEASE OF CIRCO EUROPIA’S DEBUT ALBUM, ‘CIRCLE OF NEON STARS’

Los Angeles, CA – CLCX has released the debut recording of the Macedonian darkwave cabaret project Circo Europia. Circle of Neon Stars is the brainchild of legendary Balkan vocalist Goran Trajkoski, whose projects included the rock band Anastacia (who worked with director Milcho Manchevski, providing the soundtrack for his award-winning film “Before The Rain”, and whose projects included the rock band Anastacija) and as vocalist for respected rock band Mizar.

Circo Europia combines the music of cabaret, inspired by such political critics as Bertholt Brecht and Kurt Weill, torch vocalists like Edith Piaf and Ute Lemper, and a touch of gothic rock to add weight to the compositions.

The Carrera-Linn Cultural Exchange (CLCX) was established in 2004 to expose talent emerging from the former Yugoslavia to a wider world audience. It represents several artists, including composer Borut Kržišnik and sound designer Alexander Kopeikin. Media inquiries can be made via the website – http://clcx.org – or e-mail CLCX founder Rudolph A. Carrera directly at clcxrecords@gmail.com.

Offering high-quality digital downloads by artists from Armenia, Russia, Slovenia, Macedonia and Latin America, CLCX features artist biographies, performance news and reviews of its releases at http://clcx.org.

CLCX’s flagship release comes from respected Armenian-Russian violinist Gregory Ayriyan.

Los Angeles, CA – Former Tone Casualties A&R Manager and Falçata-Galia Record impresario Rudolph Carrera returns to music publishing after an exhaustive five-year world tour aimed at rescuing new and unusual music from obscurity. His web-based label CLCX (Carrera-Linn Cultural Exchange) offers high-quality digital downloads by groundbreaking musicians expanding the reach of world music, ethno-core, cabaret, free improv, experimental and progressive music, as well as various types of electronica. Carrera first introduced American audiences to composer Borut Kržišnik, former guitarist of seminal Slovenian avant-rock band Laibach as well as post-Industrial powerhouse Borghesia; Kržišnik currently composes music for theater and film for directors such as Peter Greenaway. He also signed Kismet, fathers of the ethno-core movement in the former Yugoslavia, and DJ Kiril Dzajkovski, who has worked with Bushwhacka, Dreadzone, and Macedonian film director Milcho Manchevski.

CLCX plans a monthly schedule of releases and will launch other portals concentrating on film, e-Books and liturgical music near the middle of 2010.
